My niece will be turning sweet 16 in 2 months and her grandmother and I are planning the big party! We have rented a community building and will be decorating the entire venue in PINK! Invitations (pink card stock) were made like tickets entitling each guest entry to the party! Tables will be covered with pink tablecloths. Center pieces are pink teddybears wearing "Sweet 16" pins and pink balloons. The bears will be given away at the end of the party! Streamers will be in 3 different shades of pink and white for contrast. 50 pink and white helium balloons will fill the ceiling. Each table will have it's own 2 layer cake decorated with pink flowers and a main cake will be in the shape of the numbers 16 of course. Plates and utensils will all be in pink. Punch will be served (pink lemonade!)(the ice ring will be a square of ice with 16 written in pink plastic roses), pizza, veggies and dips, chips, pretzels and pink M&M's (ordered online) will be in little bowls adorning each end of the tables.Teddybear cookies will be iced and wearing pink ribbons. Hopefully my niece's cheeks will also be blushing pink since this is a surprise party with our entire family and about 25 friends from school! Grandpa is an accomplished musician and is writng a song for the birthday girl so it should be quite an evening!
