For my son's 2nd birthday party, I threw him a Crayola birthday party.
I cut out blue and red shaped crayons. Glued the crayon cut-outs on white card stock paper and made invitations. I completed the invitations using a computer program stating the time, date, location, and also telling children to bring a smock or t-shirt. Since my son's birthday is in July, I decorated the yard with colorful balloons, and streamers. I rented three children tables and had colorful table cloths. I made a clown balloon toss game which I got off of www.crayola.com (they have other wonderful ideas. Also, I bought crayon decorations from the local dollar store and placed them around the yard. I bought plastic mugs from a craft store, so the children can decorate and take home. Also, I made goodie bags with crayons and coloring books. I set each table, as stations, with a different activity, one had fingerpainting, another had a bunch of coloring books with crayons, and the other with the plastic mugs to decorate. I had a colorful clown birthday cake. My father dressed up as a blue crayon (which my mother made) and played pinata with the children. The children had alot of fun!
