Crazy8 Party-8 yr old My daughter loves zany fun, so when she was turning 8, we had a "Crazy eight " party
for her. We used the Magic 8-ball as the theme for the invitations that I made from construction paper, cut round and decorated to look like a Magic 8-ball. On the front of the invitation was the question "Do you like to have zany fun?" On the inside was the answer: Most certainly! (like one of the answers from a Magic 8-ball) Then listed all the party info. Once the girls arrived I painted zany designs on their cheeks while other girls jumped on our trampoline. We added a bunch of soft rubber balls inside the safety-net to simulate popping corn when they jumped. Then we played a few zany team relay races. We had one relay race with my daughter's two hamster's (the girls loved this!) The second relay race the girls had eggs on spoons that were made to look like magic 8 balls. They were not to let the 8 ball drop and crack as they passed it from one girl to the next through a crazy obstacle course! After the races I had silly dress-up clothes for them to put on and gave them plastic microphones so they could sing and dance to all their favorite songs on a made-up stage on our deck. Then the girls played Magic 8-ball and asked each other silly questions. We ahd pizza and then cake. I had made a round cake to look like an 8 ball and asked them to eat their peice of cake underneath the table(they loved this and thought I was crazy!) To end, we gave them each a can of Silly String and let them spray each other outside with it! As party favors we gave them the plastic microphones, mini-hand clappers, and glow in the dark necklaces (it was dark by the end of the party). They had so much zany fun and really got into this party! It was inexpensive and ideas for this kind of party are limitless. It was perfect for this active, still-silly age group
