My daughter has just celebrated her first birthday. We had a crayon theme.
I had ordered 35 balloons to put around the room in 3- 5- and 7 clusters. All red blue and yellow. I centered the colors to primary only. Her cake was the shape of a crayon and I decorated it with tinted icing(primary colors). I could not find giant crayons, so I made my own using plumbers pipe and floor paper. For the tip of the crayon I used, styrofoam cones. I painted them red yellow and blue and staggered the heights, I placed on the front lawn to show where the party was located. I did an additional 2 for inside to stand in the corner of the room. I had painted the edge of a floor cloth to resemble crayons, and had the children decorate it and leave their own little wish for her. The children had individual crayon cakes, and red or blue drinks to eat. ( sugar crystals) we did not do party favors to take home, instead I baked sugar cookies and shaped the tips to crayons.(I decorated these for the children only). On the center of the cookie I piped the guests names on them. I then found choc moulds in the shape of crayon boxes and covered them in clear candy bags and tied them with primary colors curly ribbon. It was a huge success!!!!
