For my son's 1st birthday party, I used many of his favorite things as the birthday theme. I ended up with a Yellow Party. Some of his favorite things included bananas, peaches, pizza,
bath time (I used rubber ducks to condense this idea), and smiling (he is a very happy kid). A lot of these things were yellow. For party favors, each family got a snack container with
a yellow happy face lid that was personalized with a paint pen filled with a Cheerio snack mix I made. Each child that came also got their own yellow cup with their name on it.
Party hats and blowers are always a must with young kids too.
I set up a duck pond in our bathroom. Each duck had a number on the bottom that matched a duck novelty gift I had found. For the older kids, I hid static happy face stickers all around the house and they had to count them. For their prize, I gave them little bags of happy face fruit chews. By combining a lot of ideas, I was able to have a very unified and organized party that allowed the birthday boy to have a great time!
