I asked my soon-to-be two year old daughter what type of party she wanted and she answered "Pink!" So
we had a Pink Tea Party, and encouraged everyone (all 38 people) to wear pink (which most happily did!). I filled the house with dozens of pink roses and tulips and pink Mylar balloons. We served tea foods (small sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit, etc) and I made pink and white checkerboard cookies and a pink and white checkerboard cake (pan available at surlatable.com). We had pink lemonade (and pink wine for adults) but the biggest hit was the cotton candy machine we rented. Most of the kids weren't sure what to make of it but their parents loved it! A definite crowd pleaser
