For my daughter's third birthday, she said she wanted a pink party, but to make it a little more interesting I made it into a pink bubble party. My husband and I made large bubble wands
from coat hangars and used dowel rods for handles. We wrapped cotton string tightly around the hanger (so no party of the hangar shows) to absorb the bubble solution and to make bubbles
that really last. We bought planter dishes the size of the wand to hold the bubble solution.
We also rented a bubble machine that was constantly putting out bubbles over the kids heads. The kids loved making the big bubbles and then running to pop them. The kids took home the bubble wands, dishes and a bottle of bubbles as party favors. The cake was pink and round with my daughters picture on the cake blowing bubbles (large mounds of icing can look like bubbles stuck to the top of the cake).
