Purple Pajama Party
This was for my daughter Gabriella's 5th birthday...whose favorite color is purple and who really wanted a house full of pajama-wearing guests!!! The invitations were printed on purple and and green gingham paper and put into purple pillow cases. The guests were asked to wear jammies and bring a favorite stuffed animal. This party was in the evening for dessert. Gabby wore purple jammies. We decorated the house with purple balloons, streamers, and shiny purple ribbons. All of the paper goods were purple/lavender too. The kids were given purple party hats. Our menu consisted of pancakes, made by daddy, rootbeer floats, a cake with kids in sleeping bags on it, cupcakes in icecream cones, popcorn in individual bags for the movie, munchies, and fruit. We played some games too. Find your furry friend where you were blindfolded and had to find your stuffed animal in the pile of animals. Musical sleeping bags was another hit and afterwards the children got in their sleeping bags for a movie. Pass the slipper which was like Hot Potato. I bought inexpensive pillow cases for the kids to decorate with fabric markers as a momento. There was also a pillow case for all of Gabriella's guests to sign. For favors we had a basket of toiletrees (toothbrushes, lotions, etc. all from $1 stores) for the adults to choose from. For the kids, we gave them each a pair of slippers, a toothbrush, and a journal or small book. This was all wrapped in purple cellophane and tied with curly ribbon.(Guess what color?) Everyone had fun! This party was REALLY sweet!
