"Lego" card. After designing the card, you can make matching envelopes.
Make each kid coming to the party a "tool box". I bought each child a rubbermaid box with a label that had clip art of a tool box and then I wrote "Noah's Tool Box", etc. on each one to personalize it. Inside the box I put-- 1. A Home Depot apron with their name on it. (You can get these free by calling Home Depot and asking for one. These are the ones they use for their children's workshop on Saturdays.) 2. A playdough tool including playdough that I bought at the Dollar Store. 3. A paint brush (They will use this for their activity.) 4. A Bob the Builder stamper from the Dollar Store. 5. A 6 inch by 6 inch white tile with a nut (such as nuts and bolts) already hot glued on each corner. (This is for a craft project.) Craft: They made plant stands. I already had them ready to go (number 5. above). All they had to do was decorate them any way they wanted to with permanent markers. I also had each of their names and date on the bottom of these. Then I gave them flower pots (terra cotta pots-.25 cents each) to decorate. Then came the fun of taking them outside and letting them dig in dirt to plant a flower in their pots. The dirt was poured into a toy dump truck to make it easy to access. For a second craft I dug out 8 construction toy vechicles. I gave each child a piece of paper and let them drive the cars through the washable paint and make a wonderful picture by rolling the vehicles on the paper. Activity: Get their paint brushes out of their tool boxes. Make a pail of water and take it outside. Let them "paint" everything in sight! Cake: A dirt cake with gummy worms and construction vehicles. Recipe 8 oz. cream cheese 1 stick of butter 1 cup powdered sugar Mix the above in a small bowl. 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding 3 ½ cups milk Mix seperately in a large bowl 12 oz. cool whip Mix this into large bowl and then add little bowl. Shred Oreos in a Salad Shooter. Put ½ of these at the bottom and ½ on top.
