I have 4 children so birthay party ideas that are original are hard to come by, but this year for my two older boys 4 and 6 I am holding a woodworking party. The 4 year old will have tool
boxes made out of wood that slip together with wood glue and the tonge and grove method or dove tailed, while the 6 year old will have to assemble his with nails. Although alot of adult
participation is require the children love making their own tool boxes and painting them. After a cake in the shape of a hammer, some party games (ie put the tools in the tool box, dig
through the sand box for some mini play tools) their tool boxes are dry and ready to be filled with party favors bought a the local dolar store (ie tape measure hammer scewdriver goggle and a
leveler, carpenter pencil.)
