For my 12th birthday I wanted to do something fun but cheep. And I decided to have a cooking party. I invited 8 girls. INVITATIONS: We made delicious sugar cookies, then a little card that
said name of the child, date, place ext. we rapped them in colorful wrap and put in the sugar cookie recipe. (they were great!)When they arrived we had given them cheep white aprons that we
had made for 30$, we decorated them with there names, glitter, stamps and markers, we had bought different color spoons and spatulas from the dollar store and decorated them with jewels.
FOOD: Then we explained that we would be making pizza, cake (from cup cakes), smoothies and sundaes. This was a big hit!
We had used frozen dough for the pizza and put pepperonis, sauce, cheese and all different bowls. (if you have small kids English muffins are a good substitute for pizza dough). The cup cakes were pre iced, and we also had smarties sprinkles M&Ms in separate bowls, the smoothie were just ice cream left over from the sundaes with your choice of sauce in it, the sundaes were probably the most fun because you could really be wild! We sent up are dinning room with a gold table cloth, red and whit roses, clear forks and knifes with jewels glued on, and we served the smoothies in plastic champaigh glasses with glued jewels on, and looked so elegant!. we had the food served as if we were in a restaurant, then we had a game with whoever was sitting in a certain chair got a prize. After dinner it was to clean up because every thing was recyclable. GAMES: We had played a game that when the music stops the person holding a wad of toilet paper had to unwrap as much ass they could, we had wrapped it in newspaper so it was cheep, and earth friendly, between the layers of paper we had put things like glitter, fake dog poop, lip balm, plastic puke and other stuff that made the game fun, all this stuff was got at the dollar store and party packagers. Then while watching a horror movie 6 girls left. PARTY BAGS: Aprons Prizes and spatulas. The rest were sleeping over. We had a fashion contest, pj contest told scary story, had contests on who could be the best liar, prank called pizza hut, jenny Craig and someone's house! It was so fun, then we fell asleep at 5:00 am watching a horror movie. That afternoon when we woke up we had breakfast buffet, with fruit, toaster waffles, toast, cereal, and much more. We ate are breakfast while watching cartoons, then got dressed up as vest as we could and went to the mall for a hour with each 10:00$ to spend 2 hours later they all went home. This cooking/mall/sleepover party came all around 100$. And my friends still talk about a year later. Since my birthday is in January it was a great way to celebrate. Just remember take lots of pitchers!
