For my daughter's 4th party, we had a baking party. She loved to help me cook, so this was something she really would enjoy.
For the invitations, I printed the invitation on white paper and cut it out in the shape of a chef's hat, I put that on red & white gingham paper and then on red card stock. I used those decorative paper scissors for a cute look. I bought aprons for all of the girls (10 total) and put their names on them w/a red glitter pen and hot glued red & white gingham ribbons to the trim. I made heart shaped cakes and little red picture frames (magnets on back) with the child's name on the front....Chef Emily...etc ahead of time. For the party, I had purchased a chef hat and took a Polaroid picture of each child with their apron & hat on. Those went in the red frames as a party favor. The girls made their own pizzas for lunch. To make it easy, I purchased the individual size pizza shells and the girls put on their own sauce & cheese. While the pizzas were cooking, the girls played pin the pepperoni on the pizza. After lunch & gifts, the girls decorated their heart cakes which they each got to take home in bakery boxes that I bought at the craft store. For little touches, I had each girl's box marked with a red gingham heart that read "Megan's Creations" on it, one for each child. Then on to cake & ice cream. Everyone had such a blast, the girls & their moms still talk about it!!!
