Kids Birthday
Party Supplies

My little boy told me he wanted to have a Curious George Themed party for his third birthday.  I ordered Curious George themed party supplies on-line and used primary color accessories. Balloons were weighted down on tables by bananas, my son's curious george doll swung from the ceiling on a little swing that I made and an artifical tree had 20 stuffed monkeys clipped to its branches.   We made signs directing the guests to the party (Curious about Ben's party…stop at guard booth for directions, enter here for monkey business)        As the little guests arrived they were directed to a table with crayons and many curious george coloring pages that I printed on my computer. I also had a tray of monkey tails( bread stick dough dipped in cinamon and sugar with curled up ends to look like a monkeys tails and baked as directed for bread sticks). This was for guests that were too hungry to wait for cake.  After all my son's friends had arrived I lead everyone to a room where I let loose approx. 30 different size exercise balls. The kids took off their shoes and acted like monkeys playing with all the balls.  After about 20 minutes we all returned to the first room and played "take the tail off the monkey poster". The winner was the child that picked the monkey tail that I had previously placed a gold star on the back. A cake with a monkey on it that was made by a creative grocery store bakery was served and presents were opened.  All the children went back in to the big room where the balls were (the balls had been put away by now) for the arrival of the special guest (a monkey that looked like curious george). We hired a company that brings animals to your party. The monkey un-tied the children's shoes, drew (scribbled) a picture for my son and then all the children were allowed to come up to the monkey and put their finger on his tail. The monkey aqutomatically curled his tail around everyone,s finger.  Since it was my son's birthday he was the only one allowed to feed the monkey a banana.      The party guests departed shortly after the monkey left. Each child was given a goody bag filled with curious george treats ordered on line and were asked to pick a stuff monkey off the tree to take home for thier own.         It was a very fun party to plan and I think a visist from a real mnikey made quite memorable for everyone.
