For my child's 3rd birthday, we had a Curious George Party.
As the kids arrived they decorated their solid color party hat with Curious George stickers. I also made puzzles from scenes in the Curious George book by cutting out the pieces. These were also available for putting together as the guests arrived. After this,we we went fishing just like Curious George did. We laid a sheet across our child protection fence which is around our pool. An adult crouched on the pool side clipping on party favors and the kids were on the other side casting thier line. We used a medium size stick with string and a clothes pen for the fishing pole. Each child took turns and ended up with some doller store prizes as part of their take home favors. This was a big hit. For decorations at the table we had a big bunch of balloons attached to a tiny Curious George doll (like in the book when Curious George grabs all the balloons and floats away). We had a bright yellow tablecloth and used red plates and cutlery. Each child got to decorate thier own frosted cupcake with sprinkles, candies and such. I put all the decorations in a muffin tin and passed it around. And since kids love to blow out candles, I let each child have a candle on their cupcake too. The kids loved this. We played in the back yard and read a few Curious George stories, of course. At the end of the party the kids were sent home with a bananas (Curious George's favorite food) and a little Curious George sandwich container that I had luckily found at the dollar store too!
