My son wanted a Dalmatian party for his 4th birthday. I got a lot of ideas from this site. For our invitations, we made dog houses from construction paper with spots on them. Inside we
put "hope we 'spot' you at Steven's party" and Dalmatian stickers.
We decorated the steps outside and floor inside with pawprints leading to the party area. When guests arrived they got to decorate their "dog collar" made from red fun foam with yellow fun foam tag. They had velcro fasteners. I asked them to wear black and white also. For our games we played pin the tail on the Dalmatian. We drew a Dalmatian on posterboard and tails from black fun foam with sticky backs. We also played "dog, dog, cat" in the form of duck, duck, goose. We made Dalmatian pumpkins. I painted them white with black spots beforehand and sprayed them with sealer. We used white fun foam for the ears and colored black spots on them,2 white pom poms and 1 black one for the nose, red felt for the tongue,2 wiggly eyes, and white pipe cleaner with black marker spots for the tail. It just stuck right into the pumpkin. They loved making them! I also had a Dalmatian pinata filled with treats and little slinkys. We made a marble cake with white frosting and black spots. I also served mini Oreos(black and white),trail mix(dog treats)and chocolate chip cookies in dog bowls. I had a white table cloth and white plates and cups. I colored black spots on them all. My son liked helping color them too. We had a wide age range for the party but I think they all liked the fun and had a howlin good time!
