Diva Dance Party 7 yr old  We sent out invitations we made on the computer that were personal invitations to Deanna's Diva Club. The tickets said "by invitation only" and "submit one" and "girls only". They also gave directions to our home as if we were a nightclub. The dance was from 6-8:30 pm on a Saturday night.  We cleared out the furniture in our family room. We hung Mylar curtains at the entrance doors. We used a color mirror ball, and strobe lights. We hung groovy flowers and streamers across the room. We had a sign outside the entrance' "Deanna's Diva Club" "Private Party",   "Tonight Only". And we had a red carpet down for the Diva's to walk on as they arrived. As the girls arrived they decorated their own microphones we had made out of styrofoam and foam.  I set up our video camera on a tripod and simply connected it to our TV. Now when the girls sang and danced they could see themselves on TV. They just loved that.  I taped each girl on the video for a little while and sent each one home with a video of themselves and friends dancing. We used great dance tunes.  We learned some new dance moves and sang some Karaoke. We played a few dance games like freeze dance and dance walk. (kinda like a cake walk).   We had munchies set up on little tables. My husband was the tended to the refreshments like a bartender, and my son was the "bouncer".    We had a build your own ice cream sundae bar and brownies instead of a birthday cake.  Each girl took home a Diva goodie bag filled with the "Birthday Express Diva goodies", their personalized microphones and their own video dance tape. We ended with opening presents. It was a fun evening.
