PLANET HOLLYWOOD Party (pre-teen dance) Invitations: Clear large plastic ornament. Inside is a star cut out of construction paper and legs folded. Invitation is printed on the star. Colored metallic tinsel is also enclosed in the ornament to make it sparkle. DECORATIONS- TWO Large boxes painted black, photo copies of child with friends throughout the years. Memorabilia of the child, ex. baby shoes, favorite jacket, doll, collectible items (rocks, acorns, sticks)that they saved for some reason. First Ballet outfit... these items are then mounted with stick tac or straight pins to the box and a typed up explanation or story about the item is displayed. Clear plastic ornaments are filled with glow in the dark paint and glitter and then hung with fishing line from the ceiling to look like the planets and stars( great effect with black lights) Table Decoration was a old basketball spray-painted royal blue to look like a globe and a cardboard sign of PLANET HOLLYWOOD was glued to the top. Table cloth was a royal blue plastic covering splattered with white acrylic paint to look like the universe. White Christmas lights were scattered across the table to light up the iridescent sequins scattered about the table. Clear acrylic bowls for chips, dip, candy, and peanuts. Coolers held the variety of sodas. Instant cameras were placed around the room for pictures from different people to be made. Hands were traced on construction paper of guests and then hung for their own viewing. The kids loved looking at themselves displayed on the boxes and the parents were thrilled to see all of the different photos of their child throughout the years. Once the photos were developed I made a small scrapbook of the important event as a present for my daughter.
