Hoe-down
For my sons 1st birthday, we had a Hoe-down. The invitations were printed from graphics on the computer, they said " Y'all come on down to the Castro farm and help us celebrate Austin's 1st birthday!! Inside: Hey Y'all don't forget to wear your best western duds. Farm: Date & time RSVP: the Ranch Handler Decorations: My friends and I painted a farm scene background and hung it on my wall in the backyard, I got 5 hay bundles and stacked them in front so that people can take pictures, I made barn picture frames with the barn doors opening so you can see the pictures and took Polaroid's of everyone, so they can take them home, I spread hay all over the ground and had scarecrows set up and a huge pig piņata that I also used for decoration until, the kids broke it, we played country music and had line dancing, I rented 2 ponies and they had pony rides and a goat, bunnies and guinea pigs, I also rented a Pony jumper. We played round them up with ropes, Bingo and animal hunt. The kids took home animal grabbers, animal finger puppets, coloring books, candy, animal beanie babies, stickers and sheriff badges. When each kid arrived I put a sheriff badge on them, a cowboy hat, (if they didn't have one) and a handkerchief on them. My family were all dressed to the "T" in our cowboy getups!! FOOD: hamburgers, hotdogs, ribs, baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad and roles. I made a bran cake and set up my kids barnyard animals all over the party area. On the cake table I set up my sons fisherprice barn setup, it was cute!! Okay, I think that's all!! We had a great time and I sure hope someone else sees this and has allot of fun too!!! Stacey
