When my son turned four he was absolutely crazy about dinosaurs. For his May birthday, we did a "Dinosaur Dig" at a local park that had a sand volleyball court. We sent out
preprinted dinosaur invitations. The morning of (party was set for 10), we went to the park and put up a large shade tent. We then roped off an area in the sand and buried tons of little
plastic dinosaurs 9orded from oriental trading company). I also made a sign on the computer that said "Bradley's Dinosaur Dig" and staked that at the edge of the sand. As the kids
arrives, each received a personalized bucket and shovel and started digging in a non-roped off ares. We then took a picture of all the kids infront of the Dinosaur Dig sign and let the
littlest ones start digging for dinosaurs. After they had a minute, we released the rest of the kids. They had a blast digging for and finding the dinosaurs. We then did dionsaur tattoos and
gave them dino notepads. A friend made the dinosaur cake from a shaped pan. It was a lot of fun. The kids dug in the sand for a long time and then, at the end of the party, moved to the
playground area.
