For my daughter's 3rd birthday party we decided to have a Disney Princess Party. For the invitations I printed up on white parchement paper, with decorative scrolls at the top and bottom:
Princess Nessa Requests the presence of Sir/Princess (name) at her 3rd Birthday Party. It will be held on (Date), at her Kingdom on (address), from (time). Please RSVP to Lady Rae at (phone
number). I rolled them up and had her place a disney princess sticker on it to seal it and then we hand delivered them to most everyone.
For the Party the colors were pink/purples/gold. We set up in our formal dining room 3 tables in a U-like shape and drapped them in pink/purple table cloths with Sugar mold castles in the same colors with flowers around for the centerpieces. This is a wilton method and I used decorative sand toys from Target as the molds. We did a basic menu of pizza, chips, fruit and veggie trays with the exception of Royal Princess Pink Punch. The children were all given Plastic champagne glasses. We also hung streamers and bought many many balloons to decorate around the rest of the house. Also bought some premade disney princess decor stuff. Activites were picked for the age ranges of 2-4yo and since most kids that age don't wait easily or do competitive games well. So we opted to do easy games where kids win every time and arts and crafts. Each game was based on a Princess as follows.... The First Activity: Cinderella's Crowns..each of the kids made their own crowns and got to pose on a Chair that we turned into a Throne. The throne was a straight backed chair painted gold with oval curtain knobs screwed in the top. We repadded the chair with a royal purple crushed velvet and pleated. We also drapped the crush velvet across the back with a string of pearls. We took a big cardboard box and made it into a castle tower and shaped it so the chair would fit inside. We took the kids pics in it and made those into thank you notes. Sleeping Beauty's Sleeping Sand Castles- Bought Plastic sand filler castles from oriental trading and each of the children got to fill them up with colored sands. Belle's Book Binding: Printed off Princess coloring pages and other characters(for the boys) so they could make their own coloring books. The front and back pages were printed with nice borders on card stock and tied together with ribbons. Ariels Fish Friend Find: I picked up rubber whale bath toys and numbered the bottoms #1-3 and each child got to slide into the pool and grab one and depending upon the number got a prize. Snow White and the 7 dwarfs Mine Find: I bought colored clear rock things from the dollar tree (looked like jewels) and a gross of Beaded necklaces(oriental trading). I hid them in my daughter's sand box and let the kids (4-5 at a time) and let them have 15-20 seconds to find as many as they could. They were theirs to keep. I also set up a slip n' slide and let them have a water balloon fight (boys purple balloons girls pink) I made a doll cake with my daughters Favorite Princess (Sleeping beauty) but also made mini-dolls for the girls (kelly dolls at the dollar store) and using the same thing set dragon figures on hills for the boys. We served strawberry ice cream, then opend presents. As they left they received their favor bags which contained for the girls: Light up Princess wand from the dollar store, a small disney rubber princess, disney princess fruit snacks and a ring and bracelet. For the boys: matchbox cars, rubber bracelet/ring, buzzlight year fruit snacks a ring pop and inflatable snake swords. All and all it was a great party and my dd and all the other kids had a blast!
