For my daughter's fourth birthday she had a Disney Princess Party and it was a big hit!
Before her friends arrived, I set up a few tables with different crafts. On the first table, each guest had a paper bag with a personalized sticker on it that I made on the computer. The girls bags were pink with "Princess_____" sticker and the boys had blue bags with "Prince___" stickers. In each bag I put a few princess stickers so they each got the same amount. After they were done, I set the bags aside for them to use with the pinata. The second table, which was just my coffee table, had coloring pages that I printed out on the computer. I went to Disney.com and printed out several coloring pages. I even found coloring pages of some of the princes by using a search engine. The third table was were the kids made crowns. I went to Burger King and asked for a bunch of crowns and I brought them home and spray painted them gold. The paint was only $2.00 and one can colored alomst 20 crowns. The paint dried almost instantly and the parents had no idea that they were from Burger King! The children used glitter glue and I had a bunch of sparkly shapes that I found at a local craft store. I also provided them with Disney Princess Confetti that I got at Party City right in with all of the Princess paper goods. Having three stations for them to choose from minimized crowds at each table and things really flowed. Also, if a child did not want to do one of the crafts, they had two others to choose from. After everyone was done with their projects, we went outside to do the pinata. I filled it with bracelets, rings and stick on earrings for the girls and army guys, cars and airplane kits for the boys. We also had a good mix of candy too. Most of those toys were found at the dollar store or Oriental Trading. After the pinata, I kept the kids outside for one more activity. I had a huge bowl filled with sand from our sand box. In the sand I hid several gold coins, plastic gems and colored rocks. I found all of those at our local toy store. On top of the sand I placed some seashells. I told the children that Ariel had stopped by and left them some magical sand from her beach. Each child had a chance to reach in and sift out the gems, rocks and coins. After that was done we went in for cake and presents. The day went so smooth and everyone had a blast. I had bracelets for them to bead but we never got to it so I sent them home with the kids. I put the cord and a handful of beads in a small baggie for them to add to their bags. This was the best party I have ever done! Best Wishes
