My daughter turned four! on July fifth. She loves the DISNEY PRINCESSES-so we had to throw her a princess party!!! We ordered from the Disney catalogue the newest Disney
partyware(the soft pinks and purples).
From EBAY we located several Disney posters of the princesses and even large stick ons that we put all over our "castle". Princess Elizabeth wore a dress from the Disney store that had all the princesses on them, a princess bracelet(Ebay), princess sandals(Kmart)a tiara and even body glitter! She felt like royalty!! When the other princesses and princes arrived they right away began decorating sugar cookies that were crowns(yahoo.com: cookie cutters-I searched many websites until I found a crown shape)I had them already frosted pink and found tons of tini candies to be "jewels"-this gave the children time while other guests were still arriving. I made coloring books for each child from one of Elizabeth's coloring books-I just copied each princess page(it had the picture and title of the movie)and stapled them together between two soft purple stock paper. After the cookies were completed(I put them in ziploc bags that had their names already printed on them and left them in the kitchen)the children decorated crowns(Oriental Trading)with jewels, markers and glitter glue. They wore these throughout the party. We played several princess games: I found a beanie Ariel(Ebay)and we sat in a circle and played pass the Ariel doll(to her soundtrack naturally!), Princess Bingo(included with the Disney partyware), Pin the crown on Cinderella, Find Cinderella(like an Easter egg hunt-I put stickers of each of the princesses on die cuts I got from a scrapbook store-crowns, castles, and only one of Cinderella-on a GOLD crown-and hid them throughout the yard), Musical magic carpets(I purchased the small washcloths from Disney that had a princess on them-played like musical chairs), Cotton Ball relay(feather dusters), and Princess Wishes(on ping balls I wrote "wishes"-told them to make a princess wish and toss in a bucket), we had a princess castle cake(Family Fun magazine)and I put the small princess statues around it. Target had balloons with the princesses on them that I put around the house-they also had a plant holder thingy that I put the jewels in for the crowns. What a party fit for a true princess!!!!
