My daughter's 4th birthday was in Disney Princesses.
When guest's arrived the Princess of the party had not yet made her arrival. To await the Princesses entrance I had a craft table set up with Princess coloring pages I downloaded from Disney.com, to personalize these pages we added 'Madyson's 4th Birthday 2-6-01, in fancy princess writing (wedding font off computer). With adding this I feel parents would be less likely to toss away. The arrival of Princess Madyson was a complete success, w/ plenty of "ahhhhhh's." My daughter had got ready w/ a family member in dressing up in a Cinderella gown w/ a sparkly up-do, complete with birthday/princess crown. She was the Princess of the ball. We had craft's for both girl's and boy's. Boy's each had a gold (paper) crown to decorate as they desired. Girl's had a choice to decorate a tiara or a 'glass' slipper. The crown's & tiara's were both available at a party store. The 'glass' slipper was a clear plastic high heal, I found in the wedding section of the party store. I drilled small hole's on the back of the shoes, ran satin ribbon through and tied bows. The slipper then could be hung in a child's room. The decoration's for the crafts were- puffy paints, glitter, jewels, beads, markers and sequence. For her cake we purchased small Disney princess figurines, to place on cake with sugar crystal's sprinkled around. The sugar is like sea salt, so large enough to reflect in light, as the princesses stand in magic on the cake. These princess idea's were great, both children & parent's enjoyed this Princess party!
