For my daughter's 4th Birthday, she wanted a Disney Princess Party.  I bought special paper from Party City that had a Princess Castle on it. I created the invitation myself - it read, "Here Ye, Here ye!  Princess Mackenzie requests the honor of your presence at her Royal Birthday Ball celebrating her 4th Birthday!  Princess Attire is requested. Please have your carriage bring you to (the address) on (date) at (time).  Please RSVP to (your name/number) before the Clock strikes 12:00!" Then at the bottom I put "Special Appearance by Cinderella!" We had the party in the gym at my church and decorated with pink & purple EVERYTHING.  I had tons of balloons, streamers, and even draped pink tulle across the doorway for a grand entrance.  I had 4 round tables that sat 8 girls each. Each chair was draped in pink tulle and tied with a pink ribbon. It looked fit for a princess!  Each table had either a pink or purple tablecloth.  Two tables were used for Princess crafts - (1) Nail Decorating.  I bought tons of colors of nail polish & decorations for their nails.  It was a huge hit!  (2)  Necklace/Bracelet Making. I bought wire & tons of beautiful beads from Michaels Craft Store.  Each girl made a bracelet & necklace (with the assistance of a parent). The girls loves it & were so proud of their creations. The other two tables were set with Princess plates/napkins/spoonn (from Walmart).  Each table had a princess centerpiece straight from my daughter's room.  How's that for saving money? One centerpiece was her princess horse & carriage in which we placed her Cinderella & Prince Charming Dolls. The 2nd table had a large Jasmine Doll with Raja & the lamp. The 3rd table had Cinderella's crown, slippers, and wand along with a beautiful feather boa. And the 4th had several Princess dolls sitting on a princess jewelry box.  They were so cute!  In the corner of the room I had a wall petition (from the church) and covered it with pink tulle.  I hung several of my daughter's Princess dresses (for dress-up) and brought all of her wands, shoes, and accessories. Most of the girls dressed up as Princesses for the party, but the outfits were there just in case. The funny thing was that the girls wanted to change outfits, so they were switching dresses & putting on new ones.  They had a blast. On the gift table, I brought my daughter large pink doll house & placed it on the center of the table.  It looked like a pink castle & I put a couple of princess dolls next to it. It was adorable.  We also had one of the Princess Wishes new disney movies playing which added to the atmosphere. Snacks were served at the beginning - what else but Princess Fruit Chews (at your local grocery store).  Then, after crafts we served peanut butter & jelly sandwiches cut into heart shapes, goldfish, juice boxes, and then a pink or purple cupcake with Princess toppings. Lastly - I had a friend of mine dress up like Cinderella.  I bought a Cinderella costume at halloween & saved it for my daughter's birthday (which is in December). My friend was told to dress up & come during the last 30 minutes of the party. When she arrived, we made a grand announcement and the girls were so excited.  She came around and greeted each child as Cinderella.  I think most of the girls knew it wasn't the "real" Cinderella, but they didn't seem to care. Cinderella brought a special present just for Mackenzie & then took individual pictures with each girl. After the party, we sent out Thank You notes to each guest & included their picture with Cinderella.  The girls & Moms loved it.
