For my daughter's second birthday, I made a doll party with lots of pink and turquoise balloons and crepe paper. The party was in our living room and patio. Each invitation said the guest and
his favorite doll were cordially invited. When the guests and dolls arrived, I took instant photos of them together and the children decorated Popsicle stick frames that were then glued to
the photos. For the next activity, I gave each children a card that showed a doll in an activity: a doll in a stroller, a doll in a highchair, etc. They were asked to go to that activity with
their doll. I used my daughter's toys so we could do that. After that, we had a doll toss. I got the kids to hold the sides of a bed comforter and we put in the middle of the comforter a doll
that was tossed into the air. After sandwiches and salads, we had a doll parade/dance. The children danced around with their dolls. Two older children gave each doll a prize that looked like
an Olympic medal on a gold cord: cutest doll, bravest doll, prettiest doll, etc. The prizes were placed around the necks of the dolls. I had made each of these by using cardboard and
printouts from my computer. We then had a doll pinata and cupcakes, each with different pictures of dolls stuck in with toothpicks. It was a GREAT party!
