I always ask my kids for the Theme and go from there. My daughter Savannah wanted to have a "Mommy and Baby Party" for her 4th birthday.
She loves playing with her babies. So I got infant babies for party favors. When her girlfriends arrived they went to the cradle my daughter used as a baby and picked their baby out. Each girl named their baby and we taped the name around their babies arm. Next, each girl was given a diaper bag containing diapers, baby bottle, play money and pink heart shaped sunglasses. The girls sat to have lunch while I waited on them in the "Restaurant". They had to pay me for their lunch. Next my son played the store keeper. We set up a grocery store with pretend food... use kiddy grocery carts and again with their pretend money paid for their groceries. My husband was dressed as a doctor and the girls could take their babies to see the doctor. To this day my daughters friends still call her dad a doctor. I then set up the hair and nail shop. I had a lot of clients! I also had a table set up with playdoe, cookie cutters, plates and a kids kitchen. They went from station to station. Savannah, her brother, dad, mom and her friends had the best time playing pretend! Her friends are all still playing with their babies and talking about the fun day!
