Audrey's 4th birthday party was a bridal theme.  She was asked to be a flower girl in an upcoming wedding and wanted her birthday to have a wedding theme also. First, we sent invitations that I bought at Wal-Mart and then printed on the computer that were white cardstock with a vellum cover and a silk bow at the top. They looked exactly like real wedding invitations. We worded them "Mr. and Mrs. Miesner request the honour of your prescence at the birthday party of...." When they rsvp'd, we asked the girls to come to the party dressed up in a dress (preferably white). When the guests arrived, they started beading white necklaces for them to wear during the party. Next, with the help of the adults, they sewed white tulle onto a white satin headband, and hot-glued white silk flowers on it to look like a veil. After they were all dressed up in their necklace, veil and dresses, we played games. Games included bride, bride, groom (instead of duck, duck, goose) and musical chairs to wedding music CD. The cake was simply a white round 2 layer cake (top layer slightly smaller than bottom) iced white and topped with our wedding cake topper and was served on fancy china-looking plates.  Table was covered in a white cloth table cloth with wedding cake in the middle and party nuts on each side in glass bowls. The room was decorated with white balloons and white streamers. They also drank sprite (pretended it was champagne) out of wine glasses. Party favors included wedding bubbles in the little white bottle (from Wal-Mart), pretend silver plastic wedding rings, and the veil and necklace they made was theirs to keep. It was so cute and everyone had a great time!
