I went to my friend's birthday party, it was awesome! All the girls met at her house and then we rode in their cars up to Glamour Shots\*\*. She had an appiontment made for all of us (10 girls) to get a make over and our hair done. You could choose from a light or heavy make over. Then, you could choose the style of your hair: up or down and then straight or curly. After you are finished getting pampered, you change into your outfit for the photos.  The birthday girl told us to bring out favorite outfit. For the photos, the photographer took four poses.  Afterward, we took group photos and got to look at everyone's pictures on the computer. After everything was finished, we went to the birthday girl's house and had dessert and hung out for the rest of the night.  This was definatly a fun party! Plus, a week after the party, each girl got an 8 1/2" by 11" photo of themselves and a wallet size group photo! It was a really nice party favor! ------For an alternate idea, have a salon at home, have your mom or older sister and her friends be the "ladies at the salon" and then give each girl a choice on make up and hair.  Then you can also do manicures or peticures. Have somebody take pictures of each girl in the "studio".  For this, hang a bed sheet from the wall in a separte room and then let each girl take different poses. If you have a digital camera that hooks up to your computer, it will work best.  Let the girl see all the pictures and have her choose one.  Then, print it off and it will be her party favor.
