We had a party for my daughter & it was a Miss America pageant. We had the swim suit contest, the talent contest. We got old gowns from the thrift stores & some high heels & the
did the formal dress contest. I asked each of them a question. Each of them wore a banner that we made out of cheap material & glitter. They made their own before the party. They
got to pick which state they wanted to represent. They all picked their birth place because they were all different. We dressed them up in makeup & fixed their hair & did their nails.
Of course the birthday girl wins Miss America, but we had runners up to so that everyone won something, whether for talent or bathingsuit or dress. I had bought a crown for Miss America &
some fake flowers & some beanie babies for the runner up prizes. Some of them sang, they did a magic show. They also did a singing number together which they had practiced for a week
before the party. We had a microphone that we hooked up to the portable CD player so that they could sing. I also used it to be the MC of the show. We made ribbons off of the computer that we
pinned to them for 1st & 2nd place winners. We made it so everyone had fun & everyone felt special. It was a whole lot of fun for the kids & the parents.
