Wedding Birthday Party For my daughter's 3rd b-day we had a "wedding" party because she loved weddings. The invitations were worded the same way my wedding invitations were,
with just a few changed or added words/information.
I made a small guest book out of fancy papers bound by a ribbon and wrapped an inexpensive pen with floral tape to attach a big feather to it. I made a 3 tiered cake with real roses on top. I purchased 40 yds of tulle from a discount place for $16.00 and draped it with pink bows anywhere and everywhere (doorways, on tables, etc). Long strands of "pearls" purchased in the ribbon dept. were strung up everywhere as well. I made each guest a veil with tulle, a barrette, small silk flowers, and a hot glue gun. As an activity I filled a white bag with cheap silk flowers (Wal-Mart usually has big clusters of them for $1 or so), cut the clusters apart, and included a Styrofoam pre-made bridal bouquet base and they made their own bouquets. Each girl received a sucker "engagement" ring, "pearls", and the veil. Of course I used those paper bells, fresh flower arrangements of white and pink roses, place cards, etc. Bridal/wedding stuff is readily available and can be suited for many ages. My daughter loved it and so did all of the moms!
