My daughter's 4th birthday is coming up in January. For her party I'm inviting 7 of her playmates (all girls)The theme of the party is going to be a dress-up/make-up. My daughter has a trunk
full of dress-up clothes so each child will get a chance to put on their favorites. The table will be decorated in pinks, purples and white, with a table cloth, plates, cups, etc... that have
dress-up clothes and make-up printed on them. I found some placemats that are shaped like Victorian hats. The craft table will have cheap, straw hats and the children will decorate them with
ribbons, silk, etc...using tacky glue. I'm having a face-painter come in and put make-up on the girls then they will have a fashion show where EVERYONE will win 1st place. The prizes are
plastic purses filled with a brush, comb, mirror, candy lipstick and candy necklace. Instead of a cake, I'm making cupcakes decorated with pink frosting and little candies shaped like
fingernail polishes and lipsticks (found at the local craft store). I found and printed out a princess on the internet and have made tiaras out of construction paper, for a game of pin the
crown on the princess. A giant lipstick piņata (homemade) will be filled with candy and inexpensive toys from the dollar store. The children will all take home a Polaroid picture of the
special event. This is my daughter's first "real" birthday party with friends and I'm hoping it turns out good for her :o)
