My daughter is in love with Sesame Street at the moment so it was a no brainer that her birthday would carry that theme. For the invites I bought different colored cardstock and drew the
eyes, nose, and mouth on the front(red/elmo, purple/count von count, green/oscar, and blue/cookie monster). Inside I printed all the information on white paper. I received lots of calls
complimenting them. For decorations I went to Lowe's and bought 2 4X8 pieces of drywall. I painted them to look like the Sesame Street brownstone and stoop. I painted Cookie monster peeking
around the door. In the two upstairs windows I drew Elmo and The Count. For the first floor window my husband cut out a square. He built a frame for it and I used it as a photo prop. The kids
were able to walk behind it and stick their head throught the window and get their pics taken in the apartment. It also added to the decor. I made a Happy BDay banner with my diecutting
machine. I taped pieces of poster board together and painted a huge Big Bird. I also did this for the other characters. For Ernie I painted him in the bathtub with his ducky taking a bubble
bath. Behind him I put my daughters bubble machine. The kids loved playing with the bubbles and it looked like it was coming from Ernies tub. I hung Super Grover from a tree so he looked to
be flying. My husband found a tin trash can and of course that is where Oscar lived. I scattered Telly, Abby, Zoe, and Rosita throughout the rest of the yard. I used wooden rods (cheap at
Walmart) to sturdy them. Some friends of ours went in together and bought a huge Sesame Street bounce house and ball pit for her gift. The kids loved it and it went with the theme. The rest
of the decorations were balloons and streamer in primary colors. Last year I spent a lot on helium ballons that barely made it to the end of the party so I skipped the helium and just blew
them up myself. I got some of those elongated balloons and shaped them into curly q's and hearts (I learned how on YouTube) I put these with regular sized balloons and made bouquets of
balloons to decorate around the yard, fence and deck. I also let alot of random balloons float on the ground. Since all the kids were 2 I only did one game. I drew an Elmo and had little
Orange noses and they just needed to stick it in the right place. I didn't blindfold them, but they liked it. As for her outfit I believe you have to dress the part and I was lucky enough to
find pink and orange striped leggings on ebay. I sewed a yellow feather boa to one of her skirts (I made it big and full) and paired it with a yellow tshirt and orange Jelly Shoes and she was
Big Bird. It was adorable! For food I served pizza and bought a box of assorted chips at Sam's Club. I bought juice boxes with Elmo and Big Birds face on them from Walmart. I made cupcakes
(with my mom's help) and decorated them as Elmo, Oscar and Cookie Monster. For the goody bags I bought blue and red fabric and sewed the bags myself. I'm not an experiencced sewer but it was
easy to do. I used fabric paint to paint Elmo and Cookie Monster's face on the bags. Inside I put candy, a bag of cookies, a curly straw and a few other trinkets. I also bought all the kids a
goldfish to represent Dorothy (I asked permission first) and put small fishbowls and some fish food in their favor bag. All in all it turned out great and because I made most of it, it was
fairly inexpensive. I also started buying things months in advance so it wouldn't be overwhelming. The kids had a blast! Now I have to start thinking of next year!
