For my daughter's sixth b-day she wanted to have a fairy party. I was excited and got to work thinking fairy. To start I went to a local paper store to look for an idea for invitaions. I found
paper with a fairy theme and printed the invitaions myself. It read, Far,far away in a magical place sits a little fairy with a soft smiling face. She is wondering if you will come and play
with her, her name you ask is fairy princess Taylor. With fun foods to eat and fun games to play, arrive at her garden at 2 and help to make her day. Please come wearing a leotard and a pair
of pretty tights, you will earn your wings and accessories but only if your nice. Taylor is anxiously awaiting as each day is pasing by, January 24th will be here soon her mommy and daddy
will be waiting your reply. The fairy garden is located at.... The fairy garden is open on.... Please rsvp the fairy god mother by... We hope to see you fairy soon. Some of this I found on
this website and I made up the rest. Then I got to work on planning. For snacks I bought everything little, pixie sticks, butterfly crackers, mini candies etc. For the activities I set up
centers. #1 we read stories about fairies, I was actually able to find a story with my daughters name in it, #2 they got to get their nails and makeup done, it was all filled with sparkles
and glitter, #3 they got to decorate their cakes. To make the cakes I bought a cookie cutter shaped like a butterfly and put it on a foil lined cookie sheet. I poured the batter in and made
every girl her own individual butterfly cake. I bought cherry and strawberry frosting and every kind of sprinkles you can think of to decorate. When every girl had finished each station they
all sat down and sang happy birthday and ate their cakes. At the beggining of the party to earn their wings
they played musical lily pads. For the lily pads I just bought green material and a leafy print material and cut out the lily pad shape. As they got out they got to pick out their wings. When they all were playing I hung minature irradescent bags filled with bubbles, lip gloss and little candies my mom made, on a tree we had. We plugged in the lights and soon enough the girls noticed the tree with decorations. We told them that a fairy made them and flew in while they were playing. The each got to take one as they were laeving. To make the wings I went to the fabric store and picked out two colors of toole per girl and got 1/2 yard of each color. I cut them into squares and took them diagnally and scrunched them together and tied them around the center with white toole. This was a little time consuming but it was money saving because we had over 20 girls at the party. At the end when we opened presents all the girls sat in a circle and took their present to my daughter and that way everybody was able to see and it was more organized for me to write gifts down for thank you cards. We decorated the house with streamers, big butterflies and flowers were hanging from everywhere. I had two huge fairy statues sitting on the front porch and I borrowed a friends fairy collection to put all over the area where we held the party. This was one of her favorite parties yet!
