This party is for ages 5-8 years old. its theme is of course anything magical but specifically fairies. INVITATION; on the invitation it says - down in a land not far from here, the pixies and
elves and fairies cheer, for in three weeks there dear friend turns 6, and you are invited to join her there, down in the land where fairies play, you'll dance and fly and grow your wings,
then tuck into the fairies favourite things, so come quick and let them know will you be joining them on dd/mm/yyyy at hr/min. DECORATIONS; outside the house an arch will be set up around the
door decorated by flowers and lights, the front door will also be decorated with flowers and a wreath going around the frame. inside the house the hallway will have a blue fabric laid over
the carpet and large lily pond leave wil be places over here they must stepping stone down the hall into the dining room which has been transformed into a fairy grotto will fairy lights on
ceiling and walls, and the rest covered in flower garlands, colour changing fabric and large plants. the table has been removed and on the floor is a picnic mat with homemade toadstools and
rocks seats. made from bean bags covered in red velvet and white velvet spots (toadstool) or grey velvet (rocks) placed around it. the dining room leads to the conservatory which also has
fairy lights on it, in here a large picture on a unicorn has been put on the wall and a treasure chest of outfits are found. the garden wil also have fairy lights as it is a party for autumn
birthday it wil get dark quite early. ACTIVITIES; as they enter the fairy land grotto, the children will be taken into the conservatory to become a fairy, they will be given a
dress/jacket(girls/boys) a flower garland for their head/ leaves for boys, a wand/empty bag/and some fairy dust in a tiny pot that goes round their necks. they will also get their wings. now
they are fairies they can get their faces painted with butterfles, flowers, swirls or stars. they also get given a special name that matched their outfit such as strawberry bloom, golden
starlight, rose fairweather ect. then they can go outside for a treasure hunt for tiny eggs and gold coins that have been hidden around the garden if they collect all the coins there will be
clues as to where the fairy king lives, they will go on a hunt to find the king, as they are getting to the clues my husband will dress as the king and sit waiting in the grotto, then he will
read them a story about the fairies and pixies and elves. then they can come indoors and play dancing games such as fairy freeze (musical statues) and toadstool hop (musical chairs) and
finally they can come play pin the tail on the unicorn. once that is done the food will be served. finally they will be taken out into the garden to have sparklers and fireworks with roasted
marshmellows. COSTUMES; handmade dresses from different fabrics such as silk, velvet, normal fabric and taffeta. the dress will be a white t-shirt which has has the fabric strips sewn on to
make the skirt. then around the join different things such as flowers, butterflies, leaves and dragonflies will be sewn. the head gear will be made of ribbon twisted around wire decorated
with small flowers and leaves, the back will have the ribbon left longer and bells attached. the wands will be sticks with ribbon and stars coming out the end with bells attached. and wings
will be made of wire and the material that changes colour in the light. PARTY SNACKS; the food will be themed around autumn and the fairies so mini sandwhiches with jam, cream cheese and ham
or cheese cut into flowers. biscuits shaped like butterflies and stars. pink lemonade for drink, fruit salad, pumpkin pies, any normal party food. CAKE; will be chocolate cake, decorated as a
grass land with tiny toadstools and fairies that match the outfits the children are wearing, a fairy for each of them to have. FAVOURS; in the party bag, will be gold coins, eggs, lolly pop,
fairy stickers, tiny book of spells, cake, whistle, lipgloss, pen with fluffy stuff on it, balloon.
