My daughter loves Tinkerbell, she will be one at the end of January. Her theme is Tinkerbell Fairy Princess Enchanted Forest Land.  One delema, over half the children coming (cousins) are boys, I also didnt want my 9 year old son to feel overwhelmed with his new sister (although he never says a word)so we incorporated Pirates for them. I have been planning this for about 6 months. I wanted to put as much of myself into her party as I could.  For the invitations I used lavender cardstock folded. Then I used a princess crown stamp on silver cardstock traced it in thinck black marker then cut it out. I then on using tinkerbell colors yellow/pink/purple construction paper used a present stamp, then cut them out in a square border using decorator scissors and glued them on the card stock, traced them in glitter and glued the princess crown on top and topped it off with a small sticker of tinkerbell. On the inside right I included this poem I wrote Far Far away in an enchanted place, a fairy princess sits with her smiling face; she awaits the arrival of the friends on her list, to come and play in her games and contest. Take the second star to the right and fly on till dawn, clap your hands close your eyes make a wish come along.  Wear your party attire, be ready to play laugh and run.  Wont you join in the celebration of Madison turning one. On the other side i put the relevant party information.  I went to the craft store, bought mini craft bags 2x4 inches clear put glitter / sparkles in there printed mini labels saying Pixie Dust and included it in the invitation along with a pic of my daughter in her birthday dress in an enchanted backround looking up at Tinkerbell. (i did this using photo software) I then went to the postoffice and bought Happy Birthday Stamps, printed tinkerbell address labels and sealed with a tinkerbell sticker.  For decorations I made tissue paper flowers out of pastel tissue paper, since I started early as the holidays passed, I bought most of my stuff on clearance, whenever I saw anything magical/fairy/glittery/ related. Table centerpieces are made with styrophome squares wrapped in aluminum foil (pulled together at the top like a frill) in the middle of the gathering i twirled silver star wire tree garland and purple double heart wire garland, We made cardboard stars and covered them in aluminum foil and will hang them everywhere, paper flowers, paper butterflies, a giante dye cut rainbow from the party store, balloons, streamers. Im making a watermerlon basket for fruit and serving sandwiches, tink links (hotdogs cut in 4 sections wrapped in biscuit dough and baked) Fairy punch, Pirates feast (crackers / cheese/ ) and treasure fish (gold fish) Im making her cake 3 layers the top one will be removable and be her smash cake.  We bought small letters that spell out Tink for the top of the cake one very long think sparkle candle. We also rented a moonwalk/bouncer $115. to occupy the older children and thwart off possible boredom for them and stress for the parents. For girls I bought Fairy wings and wands and crowns (dollar store) for boys paper pirate hats, eye patches, periscopes and pirate flags. Then I bought an easy to assmeble cardboard treasure chest to put the goodie bags in. for girls there is sparkle lipgloss, bangle bracelets, shiny rings, candy necklace, princess soap, mini favor bubbles wrapped with star wire, a tinkerbell light up pen, and small pad and small princess purse with plastic jacks. For Boys, its a bouncer ball/ tops, mini cards, pirate pens, note pad, gold coins, and pirate water tattoo. I have 2 trees in the backyard which i will spray with a light coat of glitter spray. Im "wrapping" the door to the backyard in Tinkerbell colors and will glue place paper flowers onto small branches and place them along the fence to enhance the "fairy garden". I will also photo copy color and cut out Tinkerbell / fairy pictures from a coloring book and place them on the tree, the house, the fence, for the childen to find the sly sprites.
