Party for my son, Hollis On his first birthday.  The theme was old Mc Donald Had A farm. I found actual "old McDonald" 4x6 cards and printed on them just basic invite info with a little history of his first year, ie.This year he learned to...  The weather was still cool so the party was inside.  We put hay bails in front of my fire place( not lit of course) with an enormous plywood cow placed in the background. We surrounded the hay bales with large stuffed farm animals, old barrels, real wild flowers placed in an old milk jug and farm animal books.  For a game, we filled a large wash tub with hay and hid plastic eggs filled with gummie worms and marshmallow chicks. The kids used their treat bags to place there eggs in when found.  The treat bags were small, white bags decorated with a brown cow stamped on front with the child's name and "EIEIO" painted in primary colors. The bags were filled with "jolly ranchers", "Cows", gold fish, animal crackers, and plastic farm animals. For an extra treat, we took a Polaroid picture of each child sitting on the hay in front of the cow, for them to take home. The cake was made by a friend with a barn scene complete with silo.
