My daughters 2nd B-Day was a major success. The theme was the farm and to set the mood we decorated the garage as a "real farm": we prepared the floor with rolls of plastic to make
it easier to clean afterwards, and covered it completely with sawdust. We had a huge facade of a farm painted red and white with real "doors" so everyone that was invited had to go
through them to access the garage.
The animals pens was made from wood and we separated the live animals in to the following groups: baby chicks and baby rabbits, a piglet, a calf and the last one for the chickens, ducks and turkey. We also used haystacks, baskets filled with fresh vegetables, flowers and coffee beans. A bucket with water and a few drops of white paint that gave the appearance of milk, a pair of old boots, saddles, among many others gadgets really helped to set the mood. I've to add that I live in a city so all my neighbors stopped by in shock and were thrilled at what we had done. My daughters friends were amazed and played with the animals for hours. We also had pony rides in the parking lot across the street. We decorated the backyard with animal shaped foam animals and glued a piece of wood in their back to be able to set them on the grass. They looked very cute because they were scattered in the yard and gave it a nice touch. For the piņata bags we bought very simple white bags and painted them with black spots to make them look like a cow, in case the children didn't get many candy in the piņata, we previously filled them with plastic animals and chocolates. The piņata itself was a pig we had made identical to the party ware we got at birthdayexpress.com The favors were rabbit puppets we got at oriental.com and we made little bags cutting sacks, like the ones were grains are stacked, and we put the favor inside with a pink package of cookies, this was all set on top of a haystack at the entrance to the house. Thank you birthday party ideas because through all your writers comments I was able to put together the best party I have ever seen so far... Please excuse my spelling as English is not my first language, but I really wanted to share this with you...
