For favors for my daughters 7th birthday party I got a combined total of over 25 lbs. of M&M'S, Skittles, Mikes & Ike's and separated all colors for each type of candy into a clear
plastic container. I then got half gallon glass milk jugs w/ a cork (you can find this at your local craft store (A.C. Moore's)). I bought some pearlized markers for writing on glass and
decorated each jar with the child's name and fun designs. I then found some wooden country stars that I wrote the child's name on as well, drilled a small hole in one of the tips on the star,
thread some twine rope through and tied it around the lip of the jar, making a small bow. I placed all the kids at the table at let them make their candy art jars. It's the same thing as sand
art, but with candy. Al the parents and kids loved it! It's great for putting on the kitchen counter at home and letting the children have some candy maybe after dinner or homework.
