Fear Factor Party - 7 year olds This party is still being talked about as the best of 2004!!! My daughter had a total of 24 kids, including herself. I made the invitations on
power point.
They said... If fear is not a factor for you then you are invited to Jessica's 7th birthday party. Be ready for a challenge on Saturday, March 20 when you arrive at ..... at 3:30 p.m. Be prepared to get very dirty. The fun will not end until 6:00 p.m. Please RSVP to ...... and parents - please let me know if your child has any food and/or insect allergies.... Every child she invited came. Before the party we decided that we would have 2 teams, the "snakes" and the "spiders". I made 12 tee shirts for each team and decorated them with tee shirt paint. We put "spiders" across the back with a spider kind of crawling out it and the same with "snakes" on the other. As each child arrived we had them draw a shirt out of the bag so it would be fair for picking teams. Also - having these shirts helped with not having to worry about messing up their cloths. We had 8 challenges. 1. Egg yolk pass. Each team lined up and at one end was a dozen eggs at the other end of the line was a glass. We had a grown up team captin for each team and they broke a egg into the first person's hands - they had to pass as much as they could all the way to then end of the line. Which ever time filled the glass up the most won. 2. Sing a song in fish. We had a bucket full of minnows. Each kid had to get into it barefoot and sing a song. We had printed out 25 easy kid songs and they had to draw which song they sang. Whichever team had the most people complete the task won. 3. Dog Bisquit race. At the end of the yard we had two empty dog bowls. Each team had 5 minutes to get as many dog bisquits into their teams bowl. They had to use only thier mouth to get them there - also they had to get crawl or crab walk. 4. Find a dime. We put a bunch of change - mostly pennies at the bottom of a cooler. Then dumped a whole lot of chicken insides on top of it. Each kid had to dig through the chicken livers, hearts, etc.... and find a enough change to make a dime. 5. Spagetti swimming. Bought a small plastic swimming pool and filled it with cooled spagetti noodles with oil and green food coloring mixed in. Then we put a bunch of fake plastic bugs mixed in. Each team had to find 20 bugs. We had them take turns and could only get 1 at a time. The team to find 20 1st won. Also - we had them wear shower caps on this one. 6. Digging for worms. We had a big bucket filled with dirt and live worms. One member had to dig until they found a worm - then pass it down the row and put it on a bowl. Then that person runs to the end of the line and the next person has to dig for one, etc.... First team who had 15 worms in the cup first won. 7. Babyfood eating. We bought about 15 different types of babyfood and some XL generic diapers. Each kid had to put on a diaper and come roll the dice and that's how many bites of babyfood they had to eat. We had taken the labels off - so they didn't know until afterward which kind they had. The team that had that had the most kids complete the task won. 8. Roll for Lunch. This one we had 6 plates on the table with a number and description like "brains" for the tofu in front of it. 1. tofu 2. mushroom caps 3. beanie weaines 4. brussel sprouts 5. alvacodo 6. chocolate. In a race one kid from each team would run to the table and roll dice. They had to each one bite of each for each dice they rolled. Then the next kid would come. They had to at least put it in their mouth and chew once for one point. If they ate the whole bite they got 3 points. Team with the most points won. At the end the team with the most wins got to pick from the prize table 1st. I bought a bunch of cool prize fromt the dollar store and put them on the table. The winning team drew numbers to determine the order of picking and then the losing team did the same. Oh - and the grown ups all voted on one kid we thought was the "fear factor champion". This boy did everything and was so into it. He inhaled the tofu and stuck his tounge out to show it was gone just like they do on the show. It was so funny. The only thing I would do different is plan for more time. It went by so fast and parents were showing up to pick the kids up before the last challenge was over. We had to cut the cake and send it to go with the kids and she opened her gifts later that night.....
