For my son's 11t birthday party, he wanted a Fear Factor" party. This party is not for the faint of heart or stomach!  I made the invitations using my Printmaster Platinum program & inserted a picture of the real "Fear Factor" logo on the front cover in the center of the card. (I got a package of blank greeting cards with envelopes at the dollar store.) On top of the logo I typed "You are invited to (Name's) Freaky" then I had the logo then underneath that I typed "11th Birthday Party". I used "Westate" Font size 48 in white on a black background. On the inside I typed all of the information and added a slimy eyeball & bug clip art. I addressed the envelopes on the computer and put a clip art roach in the bottom right hand corner.  It looked great & creepy! We started out with pizza & soda since and then moved outside for the fun. Each boy was given a white 1 gal. "Barf Bucket" to put their goodies in (dollar store). I had drawn a giant nose on a piece of posterboard & cut holes out at the nostrils.  (Hang the poster from the top of your swingset or a rope.)  I bought glow-in-the-dark slime at the dollar store. We called this "Throw the Snot Through the Nose".  The boys loved it! Then I ordered real edible bugs from an internet store in California. The boys strted with white chocolate covered ants then BBQ flavoered Crickets and finally bacon 'n cheddar mealworms. All of the boys ate them except one I'm with him! Then we moved on to a pinata "Fear Factor style".  Our pinata was just a brown corrugated box taped closed & hanging from our swingset. It was dark outside so we had a spotlight shining toward us but the boys couldn't see like in the daytime.  The boys took turns hitting & finally it was broken & one boy put his mouth under it & started eating the contents.  We laughed & laughed because it was dog food! He did spit it out! Then we brought out another box just like it & they beat it open & it had plastic bugs worms gum eyeballs gummy worms Tootsie Rolls etc. I was lucky to find Halloween candy on clearance at the dollar store for his November birthday! Then we went back into the house for a game.  We used one of the ideas on this website and got baby diapers & filled them with chocolate pudding cut up pieces of Tootsie Rolls & 1 hidden piece of bubble gum.  They opened their diapers around the kitchen table & then had to put their hands behind their backs. They dove in mouth first & the 1st one to get the gum in his mouth & blow a bubble was the winner.  They loved this! Next we let them have free play while we finished getting the refreshments ready. We borowed an old book from a friend that had "Gross Recipes".  We had "Potty Bowl Punch" (blue Hawaiian Punch w/ Sprite) with Hershey Kisses in ice cubes floating on top in a punch bowl.  Then we had "Road Kill Cookies".  We made brownies with choc. icing and used a can of yellow decorating icing (baking aisle) and made a street stripe going down the brownie. Then we put an animal cracker on top in the middle & used a small tube of red decorating icing to make blood spots on the animal cracker. Then we had "Bandage Cookies".  We took graham crackers & broke them along the perforation marks into four rectangles each. We then made a watery powdered sugar icing & tinted it peach colored. We iced the top of the graham crackers then cut a large marshmallow into thirds and cut each of these into a squares. We stuck one square in the center of the graham cracker for the "gauze". Then we used our tube of red icing again & put a little dab in the middle of the "gauze". Last but not least we thought up a "Cow Patty Cake". We made a 9 x 13 pan of brownies then cut it up and smushed the pieces together to make a mound. Then we poured hot fudge on top & placed big plastic flies all over the mound(dollar store). I even found some thin curly candles at Wal-Mart and had those coming out of it. We loaded up at 10:00 p.m. and took each boy home.  The boys thought it was cool staying out until 10:00!  It was the talk at school on Monday & it was an inexpensive party!                             "
