Fear Factor Party 7yr

Honorable Mention

March 2004

Sherry in Williamstown, NJ - USA

My son is a big Fear Factor fan so for his 7th birthday he decided he wanted to have a Fear Factor party.  I had made the invitations on the computer.  They said..."If fear is not a factor for you, then (child's name) invites you to put your fears to the test and see if you come out the best." In the invitations i also put in there for the children to not dress in their best because it could get messy. I had printed out the Fear Factor logo from the computer and took it to a bakery nearby and they put it on the cake.  I also bought some little plastic bugs and added them to the cake for decoration. The first stunt was called Egg Pass. I divided the children into 4 teams and put the teams around a table and in the center of the table I put cartons of eggs.  The first child in each team had to grab an egg and crack it on the table and then dump the insides out into the 2nd persons hand and then the 2nd to the 3rd and so on.  Then the last person in each team would put the insides of the egg into a bowl at the end of their line. they did this for 30 seconds.  Each stunt was anywhere from 30 sec.-1 min. You could make it any amount of time you'd like. The team who had the least number of eggs in their bowl was eliminated.  For the remaining stunts the children all played against each other...no more teams. The 2nd stunt all the kids made a circle on the floor and each had 2 paper plates. On one plate I dumped gummy worms on and the children then had to transfer one gummy worm at a time with their mouth onto the other plate.  Whoever had the least amount of gummy worms on their plate after time was up was eliminated. Also, any child who didn't want to compete in a stunt was eliminated.  The 3rd stunt, the children had to each take a balloon and run a certain distance..any distance you'd like to make..and sit on the balloon and pop it then run back and get another and run again and sit and pop it. ( I blew up many balloons that morning and set them aside.  It's definately best to use a pump for this).  Whoever popped the least amount of balloons was eliminated.  The next stunt each child had to sit for 1 minute with a slice of lemon in their mouth. If they all lasted the minute, they all went on to the next stunt.  If anyone could not do it, they were eliminated.  The morning of the party, i cooked spaghetti noodles and covered them and set them aside for the last stunt. For this stunt, I layered, in a bowl, spaghetti noodles then cherry pie filling, spaghetti noodles, pie filling and so on until it filled the bowl.  The pie filling had pieces of cherries in it and the children had to dig their face into the bowl and pick out the cherry pieces with their mouth and put them on a plate that was set next to the bowl.  Whoever had the most cherries on their plate at the end of the time allowed was the Fear Factor champion. The winner receieved $10 attached to a stuffed animal w/ ribbon tied around it's neck and was announced Fear Factor Champion like Joe says at the end of the show. Everyone had a great time including the adults.  It is definately a party no one will ever forget.
