Fiesta de Child's Name
We sent out an Evite since everyone invited had email. Decorations included mini pinatas, hand made flowers and papel picado. Papel picado means "pierced paper"in spanish. They can be very intricate, but we made rectangles of tissue paper with simple shapes cut out, similar to how you would make a paper snowflake. Our craft project was flowers made from pipe cleaner and precut circles from Oriental Trading Co. We had a taco/fajita bar and tamales for food. Our cake read "Feliz Cumpleanos ___".OUr favors were a sombrero and a pair of maracas from Oriental Trading Co. They were very cute in the pictures we took with each guest as they departed. Our Thank you card will read something like: Thanks for visiting Mexico with us. It will include a picture of hte birthday celebrant and the picture of the family with their sombreros.
