For my son's 1st Birthday party I did a Finding Nemo party. I made Finding Nemo invites and put on the front "Dive into Christian's Birthday with us!"
I made Blue Jell-O and put it in fish bowls w/ gummy fish inside. We had tuna fish sandwiches cut with fish cookie cutters for lunch. I used a large fish bowl for the blue punch and used reusable fish ice cubes in it. I also had fish shaped sugar cookies and let the children decorate them. I used sand pails for the utensils. I put fish snacks like swedish fish and goldfish crackers in seashell dishes. I used a fish net, Finding Nemo cut out characters, balloons, and streamers to decorate. I also used blue Saran Wrap and we put it over the windows and doorways to make the whole room an ocean We played pin the tail/ fin on Nemo. Set up a fishing pole game- I just used a stick with a string tied on and a plastic hook. The children made a wave bottle each (small baby food bottle half with water, half with oil, blue or green food coloring, shells, glitter and a small shark/whale inside, and hot glued the tops on) I personalized sand pals with their names and their Hawaiin names on them and put party favors inside for each child. I put the party favors in a home made treasure chest.
