We had our son's birthday party at the beach so i went with Finding Nemo theme. We had sent up a tent under a large shady tree with tables covered with alternating blue and orange tablecloths.
We set up extra chairs for those who didn't bring in their own beach chairs. Printed finding nemo balloons decorated the tent. We also rented a Nemo bouncer for the day. For the food, my
boyfriend had a grill for hotdogs, hamburgers, shish kebobs and kalbi. We set up a buffet line with noodles, chicken, vegetables and other entrees. For dessert we had brownies, rice cakes and
fruits. I picked up a chocolate chiffon cake in a nemo theme at a nearby bakery. The kids loved it. Towards the end of the day the kids got to break a nemo pinata filled with treats which i
made myself. At the end the kids got goody bags to take home which had a nemo cup, a straw, small bottle of bubbles, sunglasses, a sqwaker, and a whistle pop. Each also had a blown up nemo
balloon. Later, a thank you card with my son's picture was sent out. It's a lot of work hosting a birthday beach party. I suggest you make a list of all the things you need to bring to the
beach so you don't forget anything. Cater some of your food or precook some items at home. I shopped for most of my party supplies and favors at Wal-Marts. It's very expensive at party
stores. Take some candid pictures so you can make copies for your guests.
