We are planning a Finding Nemo party for my son's 3rd birthday. We bought plates, napkins, cups, and tablecloths from birthday express in the Nemo theme. We also purchased the Nemo
pinata and will be filling it with candy and small toys.
We will be having hamburgers and hotdogs, howver prior to cooking I will cut the hamburger patties as well as cheese into fish shapes with a cookie cutter. I will serve crab dip, goldfish crackers, watermelon cut into fish shapes, and shrimp salad along with the other staples. For dessert I will have a bakery cake with a nemo kit and clear plastic cups filled with blue jello that have gummi fish floating in it. For party favors we will have nemo bubbles that I found on the internet, nemo face painting/tattoos that my sister will be in charge off, and every child will be sent home with a real goldfish, complete with fish food and fish bowl that they will win during our Ping-pong ball carnival game. Decorations consist of 5 dozen balloons in blue (light and dark) and white which we will tie to all of the chairs, tables, fences, etc to create an ocean effect. I have purchased crepe paper and banners from birthday express. We have 2 bubbble machines that will be going non-stop during the party. We have also rented a giant "finding nemo" bounce house/waterslide combo for the kids to play on. We have a small wading pull for the younger children and i have purchased nemo floating toys for them to play with. I made invitations on our computer that have a picture of nemo and dory which I printed on cardstock. I then bought some vellum paper that had bubble patterns on it and printed the party information on them saying to "Come on over to our Drop-Off for a Whale of a time! For Jakey's 3rd Birthday". I will attach the vellum to the cardstock with a hole puncher and blue and orange ribbon.
