I am having a fish themed party for my 4yr old boy. We are having it at our house but a park near a lake would be a great place too. To start, I'd like to make nametags in the shape of fish
for each child. Of course we have all the normal stuff like fish cake and dirty ice-cream with gummy worms. But I wanted our party to take some children's magic to bring it to life. So, as I
can remember from my childhood, Relay races are a hit. The kids will race (2 teams) and have to put on all sorts of swimming gear and then take it off so the next person can put it on. It
should be fun.
Another activity we will do is make T-shirts as favors using a REAL DEAD FISH that each child will paint and we will press it onto the shirt making a "Fish Print" They are so Cool even older kids would like this, Ok and totally Gross but too, kids like Gross!!! Use FABRIC Paint so it won't wash out. We are also going to make a fishing tournament using fishing poles made out of sticks and string with a magnet on the end to catch the fish in the pond(also with magnets) After cake and presents we will all sit down in a tent outside and read my son's favorite story, "The Rainbow Fish". AS for decorations, Well I am not there yet in my planning. Any Ideas let me know. Possibly a solid plastic tc with fish net on top with some sand and sea shells. Along with the shirt, I might send home some fish coloring pages off the net and some goldfish crackers. I haven't done this yet so any ideas would be helpful.
