CHILDREN'S COCKTAIL PARTY - for my daughter's fifth burthday she wanted a kids cocktail party so we sent out invitations that we made on the computer using her
drawing and some clip art - we asked the guests to dress for the party many of the girls wore dress up costumes and others wore their holiday dresses while one boy wore a tux, others were just in shirts and jeans (I had some cardboard top hats on hand) - when the guests arrived the house looked like a little club (tables and chairs set around the dance floor) and we set up a bar area with all diiferent colored drinks (Kool Aid) and had cut fruit (pineapples, strawberries, limes, oranges and lemons), sherberts and all different plastic cups (martini, wine, champagne, and dessert) and various straws (sparklers to luau theme) Food was cocktail franks and hors deourves and then pizza - the cake was in the shape of a martini glass and we had a lot of party music and danced...each child was given a party bag (girls - dress bags with girl things and for the boys - just a mylar bag) I took lots of pictures and sent them in the thank you cards.
