For my son's first party I plan to use a frog theme, complete with real frogs. Invitations are of green stationary and read "Hop On Over To our Pad, Mikey's Turning One Today". Upon entering, each child will receive a little froggie pin made of a small frog shaped magnet. Favors are frog-print baggies filled with frog shaped goodies I purchased at Cost Plus. Because the guest are mostly small children, the main event will be a small group music activity where we will sing songs from our Mommy and Me class and Raffi while sitting on small lily pads made of felt. For the 5 Green and Speckled Frogs song, I will pass out rubber froggies and use puppets to act out the music. Refreshments will include a frog shaped cake, mint ice cream and/or milk shakes, green cookies, and green Jell-O. The party will last no more than 2 hours.
