For my daughter's fourth birthday we had a "Froggy" party.
I made frog invitations (bought a big notepad at parent teacher store that was shaped like a frog) that said, "JUMP, JUMP, JUMP is the name of the game, What you think about frogs will never be the same. Jumpin' and Jamin' it's the place to be seen, Everyone here will be wearing green! So hop on down to Brieanna's 4th birthday party, the fun begins at one so don't be tardy!" I made frog hats by cutting out a green cone and taping, cut out the face shape and stapled on, legs, wiggly eyes, elastic stapled to sides and a long red curled up tongue. We had a jump rope contest, played hop scotch, played music that said "JUMP" in it (lots of songs with jump in the title) had sack races, and played leap frog of course!! We made origami(paper folding) frogs and had a frog jumping contest. I rented a Jupiter Jump (big blow up jumping tent) and the guest had 2 hours to jump! We had a big frog cake , green punch and ice cream!! We decorated with tiny frogs from the dollar tree and green, green, green balloons, ribbons and streamers! The treats for the children to take home consisted of bouncy balls (green of course), the frog hats, frog stickers, jump-ropes, and sidewalk chalk to make their own hop scotch at home! We had a great time and at the end of the party we all got together and painted each others faces green and sang, "It's not easy being Green" by who else but KERMIT THE FROG! I have this on video tape and it is priceless! We did all this at our local 4-H Camp Grounds but could be done at a park or a back yard. Great unusual party! The parents of the children still talk about this party and Brie is now 8 years old!
