For my daughter's 11th birthday she wants to have a Bunco party. Bunco is a very easy dice game that both boys and girls enjoy (age 6 and up) because everyone wins a prize. (You can find instructions for playing and all the necessary game ingredients" on the internet.) It's best to play with multiples of four; I plan to invite 11 guests; with the birthday girl playing we will have three tables of four. INVITATIONS: I will make invitations on the computer using dice graphics and decorate in a dice theme. We will also make score cards with the dice graphics.  OPENING ACTIVITY:  I like to put out markers and crayons and have the guests decorate a large Happy Birthday sign as they arrive. FOOD:  I'll put snacks on each table during the game and then we'll have an ice cream sundae bar for the main dessert. PRIZES:  There are five ways to win at Bunco and everyone else gets a door prize. These will double as their party favor. IN CLOSING:  I've planned lots of parties over the years and this promises to be one of the easiest.  The game is the main activity and it takes over an hour to play. Once the kids get the hang of it they don't need any supervision which frees the parents up do other things. After the game ends prizes are awarded; then we'll build ice cream sundaes and open gifts . . . that's it!  By the way Bunco isn't just a kids' game -- adults like it too!"
